LOS ANGELES, MOVIE LOCATION, PART 2

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good week. This week went by so fast. So how did you all like part 1 of my trip to LA? Like promised, here is part 2, some of the movie locations we visited.

Las Palmas Hotel is located on Las Palmas Avenue in Hollywood.
This is the Hotel where Julia Roberts lived and was eventually rescued by Richard Gere in the movie Pretty Woman.

The famous Beverly Wilshire Hotel is located on Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills. Gorgeous!!! Was also featured in the Pretty Woman movie.

Cop I were also from this beautiful hotel.
 
 
I love this picture! I took this picture right in front of the Beverly Wilshire hotel.

 The famous store where Julia Roberts is snubbed by the boutique staff is located in Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills.  Do you remember when she returns to that boutique after a long day shopping and says?: "big mistake, big, huge”.  :)

 
Gorgeous mansion where Danny Davito and John Travolta filmed the movie Get Shorty.





The house of Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) from the scary movie Halloween,  is in South Pasadena, on Oxley Street at the corner of Fairview Avenue.
 


Historic Greystone Mansion and Park is owned by the City of Beverly Hills. The Greystone Park is located on 905 Loma Vista Drive in Beverly Hills.
Park grounds are usually open to the public daily, but may occasionally be closed for holidays, filming or special events.  Greystone Mansion is open only for special events.
So many movies were filmed in this beautiful location, here are just a few:

- Charlie's Angels
- Rules of Engagement
- What Woman Want
- Rush HourAir Force One
- Batman and Robin
- The Bodyguard

- The Golden Child

   Hollywood United Methodist Church
This church has been used frequently as a filming location for many Hollywood movies. The "Enchantment Under the Sea",  dance scenes in Back to the Future I and Back to the Future II were filmed in the church's gymnasium. Interior scenes for the movie Sister Act were filmed in the hallways, classrooms, and offices of the church. Scenes from Anger Management, Big Momma's House, Jarhead, People Like Us and several other movies were filmed on the premises.
 
 
 
 Rosevelt Hotel
 Beautiful Hotel located on the famous Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles. Various movies and series were filmed in this hotel. Here are just a few.
- Sunset
- Catch Me if You Can
- Charlie's Angels
- Curb Your Enthusiasm
- Great American Road Trip (first season)
- Entourage (final episode of the seventh season)
- Takers

- Internal Afairs
- Beverly hills Cop II
- The Fabulous Baker Boys

       
Santa Monica Pier is such a beautiful place to go and hang out and many movie scenes where featured here.
- Beverly Hills Cop III
- The Net
- Funny Girl
- Clean Slate
- The Sting
- Ruthless People

 
The Standard Hotel 
is located on 8300 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood and it was
was featured repeatedly in the 2005 movie Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and on the series Sex and the City episodes, entitled “Escape from New York” and “Sex in Another City”.
 
  
Los Angeles Union Station has also been a filming location for many movies. Here are just a few:
- The Island
- The Driver
- Pearl Harbor
- Speed
- Star Trek: First Contact
-The Way we were
- The Undercover Man
- To Live and Die in L.A.
- The Italian  Job
And some TV shows such as:
- 24
- Alias
- Castle
- The Closer
- Criminal Minds
- NCIS: Los Angeles


Capitol Records Building is a thirteen story tower located in Hollywood, designed by Welton Becket. The first album recorded in the tower was Frank Sinatra Conducts Tone Poems of Color.
This tower was also featured in several movies such as:
- Earthquake
- The Day After Tomorrow
- Against All Odds
- Life After People
and many more...
 
Pico House is an historic building located on 430 North Main Street in Los Angeles.
This beautiful building was also featured in several movie scenes and TV shows. Here are just a few:
- Star Trek
- The Next Generation
- The rear of Pico's House was used in the TV show The Mentalist
 
The Los Angeles City Hall  is located on N. Spring St. and here are a few movies filmed on this location:
-Superman
- 48 hours
-Die hard II
- Thorn Birds
